Let’s talk about this.
Mikasa doesn’t really smile, does she? So why now?
I’ll tell you why.
She felt, truly, deeply in her heart, that they were going to die. With their last moments alive, she didn’t want Eren to worry over being helpless and weak in those moments.
She didn’t want him to blame himself. She wanted him to realize that he had helped her, that he had changed her life, and he wasn’t useless.
That if they were going to die, they were going to die together. In their last moments, she wants to show her gratefulness, her love, her smile. That was what she wanted him to see if they were going to die.
Not her tough exterior but her inside. What she holds back from showing, she wanted him to see in their last moments alive.

so after three years of really smart commenters on Reddit and random Yahoo articles complaining about the princesses’ eyes being closed, I decided to take the advice to heart and update the series!

I’ll start rolling out the finished pieces over the next couple of weeks, but I think it’s clearly for the best.

Who’s Alex?
Billboard demonstrating gender stereotypes as most people automatically assume that Alex is the boy.

kick ass

fUCK

Oh come on.
I get the point but it’s logical to assume that Alex is the boy because he’s placed right under the word Alex, his pose takes up more space in the photograph than the girl, the way he’s holding up his arm gives more of a “look at me” vibe than the girl who’s leaning to the side, and he’s in the center of the billboard next to the descriptive text.
If they switched poses and positions you’d likely assume the girl is Alex instead. This isn’t proof of how sexist the viewer is, it’s photography and graphic design making you think the boy is the focus because it makes more sense. The message behind the billboard would be way more truthful if they didn’t just use this easy trick.

Beat me to it.

being a fan of something and having a crap fandom is like standing in the middle of a party and everyone is loud, obnoxious and rude and occasionally spits acid in your face but your friends are there, the music is excellent, and there’s lots of food, and there’s great wifi so you don’t really wanna leave so you kind of just stand there going
